Through our plan we aim to:
- Improve all student learning outcomes with an emphasis on literacy.
- Ensure all student's individual needs are being catered for and targets set based of the biggest need for that child
(eg attendance, behaviour, academic etc).
- Establish a tracking system to record students growth from K-2.
- Establish a tracking system to record invention programs and services each child receives.
- Identify students most at risk of minimal growth in any area of school life.
As a staff we have discussed
Initiatives that may complement PLPs: Ø Reporting formats Ø Parent/teacher meetings where PLPs can be discussed Ø 3 way conferencing format Ø Community celebration How will we know PLPs are working? Ø Qualitative short term observational survey data, engagement and feedback from parents Ø Quantitative long term statistics growth in Ob. Survey data and achieving benchmarks.
Below is a trial PLP that we are working with. At the end of Term 4, 2010 we will evaluate it's usefullness and effectiveness and develop a whole school PLP template.
